　　【辨析】

　　in no time 立刻，马上

　　after a long time 过了很久

　　ahead of time 提前

　　behind the time 不合时宜

　　【例】With five hungry children seated around the table, the food would disappear

　　2. instead of / on the behalf of / in place of / in case of

　　【辨析】

　　instead of 代替……，而不是……

　　on the behalf of 代表，一般指代表某些人或公司等

　　in place of 代替……，可与instead of 互换

　　in case of 假设，万一

　　【例】The general manager signed the agreement          the company.

　　3. get on with / come up with / do away with / go on with

　　【辨析】

　　get on with 继续(干某事);和……友好相处

come up with 提出(计划、回答);作出(反应)

do away with 摆脱;废除;取消;消灭

　　take away 带走;使离开;剥夺;

　　【辨析】

　　look into 在……查资料;深入地检查;调查

　　look after 照顾;照料;料理;打理

       look upon 看作;显得不错;看待
