Marks and Ability
Some people think that marks are quite important. Without good marks, they maybe looked down upon by their parents, teachers or their classmates. They believe that good marks can indicate their perfect mastery of book knowledge which may help them in finding jobs.
Other people argue that cultivating one’s ability counts much more than getting high marks. With good marks and without ability, you can't make them the most of your potentials in your actual career Marks can only show your book knowledge. Your performance in your work is based on your skill which is quite related to your ability.
In my opinion, I’m in favor of possessing high abilities. On one hand I must work hard to get good marks, and on the other hand I also want to make use of what I have learned to cultivate my ability to adapt myself to the fast developing society.
